Why 18th and Spring Exists

In the United States, more than 11 million children live in households that fall below the federal poverty line. In Atlanta's most underserved neighborhoods, the high school graduation rate hovers near 68% โ€” well below the national average of 85%. Without access to books, tutoring, and stable learning environments, countless children are denied the foundation they need to succeed.

18th and Spring Inc. was founded on a simple but urgent belief: every child, regardless of zip code or family income, deserves a quality education. We bridge the gap between need and opportunity by providing direct financial scholarships, school supplies, mentorship, and enrichment experiences to children in Atlanta and surrounding communities.

"I have seen firsthand what happens when a child is given the tools to learn โ€” not just books and backpacks, but belief. Belief that they matter. Belief that their future is worth investing in. That is what 18th and Spring is built on."
